At Orion Eye, our patients are at the heart of our care.

On Surgery Day

On surgery day, we will administer anesthesia to help you feel comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. After your procedure, you will be required to have someone available to drive you home. The total process from walking in the door at Orion Eye to waving goodbye is usually less than two hours.

What Are My Next Steps?

A follow-up appointment will be scheduled with your surgeon, for the day after surgery. In most cases, you’ll then return to your optometrist for further follow up care.

Following Surgery

Following eye surgery, we recommend that you have your eyes examined by your optometric physician 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. If you get glasses before waiting the recommended period of time, your eyes may change before you get to enjoy your new glasses, and another new pair with a different prescription might be necessary.
